Employee Of The Month Lucy Del Carlo
Employee of the month! 🎾Meet Lucy, team member here at Ray’s Rackets.

❓Can you introduce yourself and your role at Ray’s Rackets?
🎤 My name is Lucy and I’m currently a senior at Liberty High School. I’ve been working at Rays Rackets for about a year and half in retail dealing with all our amazing customers getting to know more about the pickleball and tennis communities.
❓Where will you be going to college next year? Will you be playing on the tennis team?
🎤 I am attending Colorado Mesa University next year to further my academic career and athletic career playing tennis on their women’s tennis team.
❓We heard you just won a big tournament! Can you provide details of the tournament?
🎤 I won an L3 Phoenix Fiesta Open in the Women’s Open division! It was great competition and I loved playing against players I’ve never seen before.
❓What’s your favorite part about playing tennis?
🎤 My favorite part about tennis is the challenges it brings me every day. Tennis has taught me many life lessons both on and off court that I can carry with me for the rest of my life.
❓What’s one tip you’d give beginners to instantly improve their game?
🎤 One tip I would give beginners to instantly improve their game is to play as many tournaments as they can. Everything changes once your in a match and playing is the only way to improve all aspects of your game!
❓Any funny or memorable story from the court you like to share?
🎤 The most memorable story from the court would definitely getting a concussion from a ball machine!
❓If someone could only take one piece of advice from you, what would it be?
🎤 My one piece of advice would be to not be so hard on yourself. Tennis is one of those sports that you feel you go two steps forward and three back. Enjoy the game and all the challenges it brings!
Thank you so much for sharing, Lucy, and for being a part of our hardworking team! If you see Lucy at Ray’s Rackets, be sure to say hello. đź‘‹
